Why look at a Highland studio if your day centers on The Domain?
Price is the main reason. Centro lists homes starting at $699, as of 2026-11-02. The 2nd floor studio lists $699 to $1,099 per month and the 1st floor studio lists $729 to $1,114. Prices change daily.
| Floor plan | Listed monthly rent | Source |
|---|---|---|
| 2nd floor studio | $699 to $1,099 | Centro listing, 2026-11-02 |
| 1st floor studio | $729 to $1,114 | Centro listing, 2026-11-02 |
The trade is the drive. Add the gas, parking and time to the rent when you compare. We do not publish Centro’s parking cost here. Ask for a rent quote in writing and compare the total monthly price, not just the starting rent. The guide on starting price versus total monthly cost shows how.
What does Centro charge up front?
Deposits start at $500. The application fee is $50 and non-refundable. Centro also advertises up to 8 weeks free on select floor plans, and offers vary by floor plan. Read the deposits page and the glossary entries for security deposit and weeks free.
Pets are welcome up to 2 per home with a $150 deposit, a $250 one-time fee and $25 monthly rent per pet. There is no weight limit, and breed restrictions apply. See the pet friendly studio page.
Why not say “minutes from The Domain”?
“Minutes” hides the basis. The honest numbers are 5.1 miles in a straight line and 6.1 miles by road, about 11 minutes with no traffic. That is a routing estimate, not a promise. At rush hour the same drive takes longer, and we do not have a measured peak time.
If a listing says “minutes from The Domain,” ask three questions. Minutes by what mode? At what hour? Measured to which point? We measured to 11410 Century Oaks Ter. Then run the drive yourself on a normal weekday.
What should I add to the rent when I compare?
Rent is only part of the monthly cost. A 6.1 mile trip each way adds fuel and wear, and the drive adds time. Centro lists the rent, deposit, application fee and pet charges. It does not publish every monthly charge in one place.
Ask the leasing office for a written rent quote that lists every monthly charge. Then compare it with a listing closer to The Domain, using the same list of charges. The move-in costs guide shows what to ask. If the gap is large enough to cover your drive, Centro may fit. If it is not, you have your answer before you apply.
How do I test the drive before I decide?
Drive from Centro to The Domain at the hour you would go. Note the time each way. If it fits, Centro’s price may leave more room in your budget. If it does not, closer places such as ACC Highland or Crestview may fit your day better.
