What is Centro Studio Homes?
Centro Studio Homes is a community of 306 studio apartments at 824 Camino La Costa, Austin, TX 78752, in Highland. Firmus Management runs it. The client rebuilt every studio in 2019-2020 “from the studs out.” Homes start at $699, listed 2026-11-02, and prices change daily.
The community is all studios, each with one bath. You can read more about the homes on the studio apartments page. This page covers the property itself: the grounds, the shared spaces and the services.
Resident Jessica E. wrote, “Overall wonderful place and people. Very nice amenities and Studios.” That is a verified resident review from 2026-07-24.
What amenities does the community have?
Centro lists eleven community amenities. They cover fitness, work, outdoor space, pets, bikes, laundry, internet and parking. The table groups them by how you would use them.

|---|---|---|
| Fitness | Fitness center | New equipment and free weights |
| Fitness | Echelon bikes | On property |
| Water | Pool | Resort pool |

| Bikes | Bike storage | On property |
| Laundry | Laundry facility | Open 24 hours |

See the full list on the amenities page. Centro does not publish the price or speed of the internet package, or the parking price. Those details are worth asking about on your tour.
What is there to do on the grounds?
The grounds include a pool, a fitness center, a courtyard and a dog park. You can swim, work out, cook out or take a dog out without leaving the property. The community is built around shared outdoor spaces.
- Resort pool. A resort-style pool gives you a place to cool off.
- Grill and Chill courtyard. This is the cookout spot, with a BBQ and picnic area.
- Dog park. Pets are welcome, up to 2 per home. See moving with a pet into a studio.
The interactive property map shows where each space sits on the site. The photo gallery shows what they look like.
What can you do for fitness and work on site?
The community has a fitness center and a CoWork space. The fitness center has new equipment and free weights, and the property has Echelon bikes. The CoWork space is set up for work-from-home needs. You can exercise and work without a commute.
A fitness center at home saves a gym membership fee for some people. A CoWork space gives you a desk area outside your studio, which matters when your home is one room. Ask the office for the CoWork space hours when you tour.
Where can you store a bike, do laundry and park?
Centro has bike storage, a 24-hour laundry facility and reserved parking. Bike storage keeps a bike out of your studio. The laundry is shared and open all day and night. Reserved parking is available, and the office can explain how to get a space.
Bike storage pairs with the car-light setup. The client says you can “bike or walk to the train station or to dinner.” The car-light living entry explains the idea. The getting around Highland without a car page lists the routes.
What is inside each studio?
Each studio has a full kitchen with quartz counters and a red GALANZ fridge, plus a microwave. The bathroom is new, with quartz countertops and modern fixtures. Floors are hardwood-style, the A/C and heat are new and energy efficient, and the home gets natural light.
Centro does not publish square footage, closet details or whether a washer and dryer is in the unit. We will not guess. See the two floor plan pages, 1st floor and 2nd floor, or the floor plans overview.
What was rebuilt, and what has not been published?
Centro rebuilt all 306 studios in 2019-2020 “from the studs out.” Centro has not published a scope list for the grounds or the buildings. Ask the office what was replaced, and ask to see the shared spaces during your tour.
Here is what we can say from the client’s own words, and what we leave out.
| Topic | Published by Centro | Not published |
|---|---|---|
| Studios | 306, rebuilt 2019-2020 | Square footage |
| Pool | Resort pool | Hours |
| Fitness | New equipment, free weights | Hours |
| Laundry | 24-hour facility | In-unit washer and dryer |
| Parking | Reserved parking available | Price, number of spaces |
| Internet | Cable and internet package | Speed, price |
What do residents say about the community?
Verified residents on the client’s listing praise the grounds, the price and the people. We quote them as published. We do not add our own claims about who lives here.
- “We’ve never lived in a quieter, nor more pleasant complex. The grounds and apartments are well kept and newly renovated.” Roy, current resident, 2026-01-16.
- “You can’t beat the location and price.” Lesly D., verified resident, 2024-05-24.
- “Overall wonderful place and people. Very nice amenities and Studios.” Jessica E., verified resident, 2026-07-24.
Reviews reflect each person’s own experience. A tour shows you more than any quote. Visit the property site ratings page to read more.
How do you get around from Centro?
Centro is in Highland, near I-35, US 290 and US 183. The client says you can bike or walk to the train station. The ACC Highland campus is 1/2 mile away, UT Austin is 4 miles away and downtown Austin is 5 miles away, all by the client’s figures. We do not give travel times without a source.
The MetroRail Red Line stops at Highland station. The client also names the Mueller development and The Domain as minutes away. Read about apartments near Mueller and apartments near The Domain for the distances we can support. The Highland commute table lays out the routes.
What does the community cost?
Studio rent runs from $699 to $1,114, as listed on 2026-11-02. A deposit starts at $500, and the application fee is $50 and non-refundable. Amenities are listed by the client as part of the community. Centro does not say which ones carry extra charges.
| Item | Published price |
|---|---|
| 2nd floor studio | $699 to $1,099 per month |
| 1st floor studio | $729 to $1,114 per month |
| Deposit | Starts at $500 |
| Application fee | $50, non-refundable |
| Pets (up to 2) | $150 deposit, $250 one-time fee, $25 a month each |
For every fee and a worked example, read apartment rentals in Austin, TX. The deposits page has the client’s text.
Is this the right community for your needs?
Check four things before you apply. Centro has studios only, so you will not find a separate bedroom. Rent runs $699 to $1,114 on the dates listed, so ask for the exact unit price. Some details, such as square footage and parking cost, are not published. Pet rules have limits.
- You want one room with a full kitchen and bath, not a bedroom door.
- Your budget covers rent, the deposit and the fees on the deposits page.
- You are fine asking the office about parking, internet and unit size.
- Your pets fit the rules: up to 2, no weight limit, breed restrictions apply.
If a point does not fit, you will know before you pay an application fee. That is the goal of this page.
How do you see Centro before you visit?
You can browse the photo gallery, try the interactive property map or take the virtual tour. To walk the property, book an in-person guided tour or a live video tour. The office is open Monday to Friday 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM and Saturday 10 AM to 4 PM. It is closed Sunday.
Find the address on the maps and directions page. Centro is 1/2 mile from the ACC Highland campus, 4 miles from the UT Austin campus and 5 miles from downtown Austin, by the client’s figures. Learn about the area on the Highland neighborhood page.
