| Trip | Distance | Basis |
|---|---|---|
| Straight line | about 0.6 miles | Census geocode for 824 Camino La Costa to the campus address |
| On foot | 1.2 miles, 26 to 28 min | Google walking data, 2026-11-02 |
| Drive | 1.2 miles, about 3 min | drive estimate without traffic |
Why is the walk longer than the straight line?
The straight line ignores the highway. The walking route follows sidewalks and crossings around the I-35 frontage road, which adds distance. That is why 0.6 miles in a straight line becomes 1.2 miles on foot.
Plan the walk once before a first day or a first class. Check the crossings and the light. You can also ask the leasing office about the route during a tour.

What should I check before my first trip?
Check three things. First, the current CapMetro trip planner for the next Route 337 trip. Second, ACC’s campus hours, which are posted on the ACC Highland page. Third, the walk itself, once, at the time of day you plan to make it. A test trip takes under an hour and removes most surprises.
