A pet fee is a one-time charge for moving a pet into your home. Unlike a deposit, a pet fee is usually not returned. It covers the cost of pet-related wear and administration.
Do not confuse it with the other two pet charges. The pet deposit is held against damage. Pet rent is paid every month.
Centro Studio Homes publishes these pet costs, with up to 2 pets allowed:
- Pet deposit: $150
- Pet fee: $250, one time
- Pet rent: $25 a month
Centro lists no weight limit. Breed restrictions do apply.
Example for one pet at a $699 studio. At move-in you pay $150 (deposit) and $250 (fee), which is $400. Each month you pay $699 plus $25, which is $724. Two pets would double the pet charges if they are per pet. Ask the office to confirm.
Over a 12-month term, one pet adds $250 + $300 = $550 in fee and rent, plus the $150 deposit.
