# Pet rent

Pet rent is a monthly charge added to your rent for each pet. Centro charges $25 a month per pet.

Pet rent is a recurring monthly charge for a pet. It is added to your base rent. Unlike a deposit, you do not get it back.

At Centro Studio Homes, pet rent is $25 a month per pet. Up to 2 pets are allowed. Centro lists no weight limit, and breed restrictions do apply.

Here is how it changes your monthly bill, using Centro’s starting price of $699:

1.  No pets: $699.
2.  One pet: $699 + $25 = $724.
3.  Two pets: $699 + $50 = $749.

Over a 12-month lease, one pet adds $300 in pet rent. Two pets add $600.

Pet rent is part of the [total monthly price](https://centro.multisites.ai/glossary/total-monthly-price) you will really pay. Portals often list only base rent, so add it yourself.

Pet rent comes with two other one-time pet charges, the [pet deposit](https://centro.multisites.ai/glossary/pet-deposit) of $150 and the [pet fee](https://centro.multisites.ai/glossary/pet-fee) of $250. Prices change, so confirm with the office.
