# Pet deposit

A pet deposit is money held for each pet to cover damage. Centro's pet deposit is $150, and the limit is two pets.

A pet deposit is a payment collected when you bring a pet to your home. The owner holds it to cover pet damage. Ask the office whether it is refundable and how it is returned.

Pet charges come in three parts. This page covers the deposit. The [pet fee](https://centro.multisites.ai/glossary/pet-fee) is a one-time charge. [Pet rent](https://centro.multisites.ai/glossary/pet-rent) is a monthly charge.

Centro Studio Homes allows up to 2 pets. The published pet charges are:

-   Pet deposit: $150
-   Pet fee: $250, one time
-   Pet rent: $25 a month

Centro lists no weight limit. Breed restrictions do apply, so check the rules before you apply.

Example: with one pet, the deposit is $150. With two pets, it is $300 if charged per pet. Ask the office to confirm the amount for your pets.

Add the pet deposit to your move-in budget, along with the security deposit, which starts at $500 for studios.
